A tragic UTV crash early Saturday morning has left one woman dead and two others injured, including a Liberty County law enforcement official and her son.
The accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, in the 600 block of County Road 133 in the Moss Bluff area of Liberty County. According to Sgt. Rob Willoughby of the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), three people were riding in a John Deere side-by-side UTV when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. All three occupants were ejected in the crash.
Authorities have now identified the driver of the UTV as Liberty County Pct. 1 Constable Tammy Bishop. One of the passengers, 40-year-old Jessica Rivera of Liberty, was airlifted to a local trauma center where she was later pronounced dead.

The other passenger, 43-year-old Jeremy Bishop of Liberty—Constable Bishop’s son—was also injured in the crash and transported to an area hospital. His current condition has not been disclosed.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is continuing to investigate the incident. No charges have been announced, and further details have not been released.

I hope Mrs Bishop is ok I have known her for a long time my name is Kris I don’t know if she would even remember me but I will never forget how nice she always is. prayers for the family’s of all involved
Omg I’m so sorry. I love Tammy and Jessica.
She was not the driver. Spreading false information that could affect one’s career should be a fireable offense. Their family is going through enough as it is, but anything to get people to click and read right?? Sad. Leave them alone and get your facts straight before sharing. Prayers for the bishops and shame on you.
How do you know she wasn’t driving? So you’re saying the DPS is lieing because it reads they said she was driving not the news. Show proof are get your facts straight.
I know Tammy wasn’t driving because we’re close family friends and we were called before this was even public knowledge. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.
Yeah the family was lying and saying my sister, Jessica was driving in order to try and save her reputation. There is video footage of Tammy in the drivers seat & dps has also confirmed this. YOU should get your facts straight.
No video at 1:39 am would show who was driving. Cameras are not that good when it is that dark outside. I don’t believe Tammy was driving
No they weren’t. You don’t know what happened unless you were there
Prayers going up have known Tammy for years.
If you have anything bad to say about Tammy bishop in any way then there’s something wrong with you that’s a damn good woman who is hurt right now and this is all yall are worried about yall are pitiful typical drama loving liberty county bums get off your phones and go work or something you just must have all the time in the world what yall don’t have a life or what seems like yall don’t have anything better to do honestly feel bad for yall😂
You clearly have “all the time in the world” too
You got that right. I haven’t seen one bad word about her.. Saying she wasn’t driving but instead of telling the DPS they get on here.
Prayers for Tammy Bishop and her son for a full recovery 🙏
Wondering if there was blood draw! At 1:00am there should have been.
There was
Sending prayers and hugs to Tammy and Jeremy and all the family.
They need to have the full details before they start making accusations regarding anyone in this incident. With that being said, blaming anyone will never bring back the life of such a beautiful young lady with so much of her life ahead of her.
All everyone is doing is praying for Tammy and how great she is and nothing about poor Jessica that was killed and left behind children and a wonderful family that loved her very much! The cop my be a nice lady, but she was driving and killed poor Jessica!

That’s why it’s called an accident. It doesn’t matter who was driving – whoever was driving would never in a million years want something like this to happen. Pray for the person who lost her life and comfort for her family and also for the healing of the ones that were hurt. I don’t think the article called for the pic though, js.
It absolutely matters who was driving, especially when an accident occurred, people were injured, and a life was lost. Most people who get into accidents “never in a million years WANT it to happen,” but things happen, and those responsible are then held liable!!! Yes, pray for them all, but lets not dismiss accountability for those responsible.
