Jerry Hood Williams

Jerry Hood Williams was born in Los Fresnos, Texas, on June 18, 1952, to parents, James Herrell Williams, Sr., and Helen Ophelia Shedrock. He passed away in Kingwood, Texas, on June 5, 2025, at the age of 72 years.

Jerry enjoyed working with his hands and was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years. Jerry married Shirley Ann Elam and they began their lives together. They raised four daughters who adored both of them.

Jerry was a family man and loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James Herrell and Helen Ophelia Williams; wife, Shirley Ann Williams; brother, John Harold Williams; sisters, Betty Jean Williams, Helen Joyce Snook, Billie Joann Gaskin, Rosealie Janice Mize, daughter and son-in-law Billy D and Sherry Ann Richardson, and grandson Asa James Casey.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Brenda Kay Clevenger and husband Johnnie, Loretta Lynn Fester and husband William, and Crystal Denise Wahlen; brothers, James Herrell Williams Jr and wife Francis, and Jack Holt Williams and wife Barbara Jean; grandchildren, Andrew James Casey, Austin Richard Casey, Brandon James Richardson, Seth Caleb Richardson, Jacob Reese Richardson, William Lee Fester III, Dustin Dakota Fester, Cade Garrett Fester, Terra Sherie Long, Alecsandier Xavier Smith, and Deacon Cain Maxedon; great-grandchildren, Lilith Faye Long and Solas Casey; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the Pace-Stancil Chapel at 10 a.m. with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Brandon Richardson, Seth Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Deacon Maxedon, Alec Smith, and Cade Fester. All arrangements were under the trusted care of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
