Patricia Ann Raeke Carter

Patricia Ann Raeke Carter, age 80, of Dayton, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Patricia was born on Feb. 11, 1945, in Houston, Texas, to Rudolph Raeke and Ivey Fisher.

A proud graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Class of 1963, Patricia went on to attend the University of Houston where she was a dedicated member of the Spirit of Houston Band, playing the piccolo and flute—her passion for music lasting a lifetime.

Patricia made her home in Dayton for the past 17 years, having previously lived in Pasadena. She was a devoted member of Kenefick Southern Baptist Church and a woman of deep Christian faith. Known for her generosity and open heart, Patricia always welcomed others into her home and would readily give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need.

An avid lover of the outdoors and travel, Patricia also had a successful career in the oil and gas industry. She worked for over 20 years as a supervisor at Vetco Gray, where she was respected for her leadership and dedication.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and the father of her children, Oliver W. Perry; and her grandchild, Angel Perry.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Donna Lambright and husband Ronnie, Dana Pike and husband Guy, James J. Perry, Brian Perry and wife Karey, Stephen W. Perry and wife Kristina; her sister, Mary Lou Brunson; grandchildren, Ronnie Lambright, Jr. and wife Lesli, Jonathan Lambright, Courtnee Lambright, Kerigan Pike, Nicholas Pike, Brent W. Perry and wife Alexandria, Carroll Perry, Cameron Perry, Chance Perry, and Miette Perry; and great-grandchildren, Brixton Lambright, Cannon Lambright, Hallie Lambright, Axel W. Perry, Silvia Perry, Elena Tamiggi, Summer Borow, and Kaison Gardner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, followed by a celebration of Patricia’s life at 11 a.m. Pastor Jeff Day will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Perry, Brian Perry, Stephen Perry, Brent Perry, Guy Pike, and Ronnie Lambright. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Lambright Jr., Jonathan Lambright, Nicholas Pike, and Chance Perry.

Patricia’s legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
