Cleveland PD investigating suspected arson at local business

Vehicles were burned at Anytime Septic in Cleveland on Friday, July 11, in what police suspect is a case of arson.

Cleveland police are investigating a possible arson that occurred late Friday night at a local septic company.

At about 11:20 p.m. on July 11, Cleveland Police Department dispatch received a report of a fire at Anytime Septic Solutions in the 2300 block of N. Washington Avenue.

Patrol officers and the Cleveland Fire Department responded to the business, which was closed at the time. Upon arrival, officers found several vehicles parked next to the building on fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze.

After further investigation, police and the fire chief determined that an accelerant may have been used to ignite and spread the fire.

Two large septic tanker trucks and a pickup truck were destroyed. Investigators believe an explosion occurred and that the person or persons responsible may have been injured or burned while setting the fire.
