The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced the upcoming departure of Martin N. Gonzalez, P.E., Beaumont District Engineer. His last day will be Aug. 31, 2025.
Martin has worked for TxDOT for more than 24 years, with over 5 of those years in the Beaumont District.
Under his leadership, the Beaumont District has consistently ranked among the top three in the state for “Follow-up Action” (FUA) performance, achieved its highest “Pavement Management Information Systems” (PMIS) scores in over a decade, strengthened its safety culture, and fostered a deeper sense of accountability.
In addition to being the District Engineer, Martin is a veteran of the United States Army Reserves serving over 22 years and deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.
Martin has chosen to pursue an opportunity closer to home—allowing him to be closer to his family.
