Golfers are invited to tee off for a great cause at the 29th Annual Cowboy Classic Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Liberty Municipal Golf Course, 100 Magnolia Ridge Drive.
The tournament is a major fundraiser for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Houston Metro Go Texan Committee, which provides scholarships for youths in Liberty County. Last year alone, $140,000 in scholarships were awarded to Liberty County seniors through the Rodeo’s educational commitment.
This year’s event will be played in a four-player scramble format. The entry fee is $125 per individual, which includes golf, contests, breakfast, lunch, and two drink tickets.
Registration and check-in will begin at 6:30 a.m. on the day of the tournament, with tee time at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited, so sign up today.
Golfers can compete for prizes in the Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin contests, with door prizes also up for grabs. Mulligans will be available for $5 each, with no limit to the number purchased.
In addition to players, donors are needed to help make this event a success. Sponsorship opportunities include:
- Hole Sponsor – $100
- Birdie Donor – $185 (includes entry for one player, two mulligans, and recognition at the awards)
- Eagle Donor – $320 (includes entry for two players, four mulligans, and recognition at the awards)
- Ace Donor – $600 (includes entry for four players, eight mulligans, and recognition at the awards)
