Doris Ann Hudson

Doris Ann Hudson was born in Beloit, Wis., to parents, Charles Edward Summers and Irma Alice Burchfield Summers. She entered Heavens Gates on Aug. 5, 2025, at the age of 90 years.

Doris was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, cleaned houses and businesses, and was a manager of a snack bar for the Aldine ISD.

Doris loved her family and church family and she will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Edward and Irma Alice Summers; husband, Charles Vernon Hudson Sr.; son, Charles Vernon Hudson Jr.; brothers, Larry Summers, Harry Summers, Sonny Summers, and Irvin Summers; sister, Donna Bue.

Doris is survived by her children, Donald Edward Hudson and wife Denise, Joseph Linard Hudson and wife Stephanie, Cheryl Francine Hudson, Julie Lynette Rollins, Sandra Gayle Morphis and husband, Bobby, and Valerie Lynn Barker and husband Michael; son-in-law, Joseph Andrew Hernandez; half brother, Edward Schultz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, from 3-8 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. David Moore and Bro. Jose Delgado officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery.
