Fagan earns top cadet honors at South Texas Buckskin Brigade

Texas Brigades, a nonprofit organization established in 1993 with the vision of “developing conservation leaders in every community,” works to inspire a new generation to protect natural resources. Matthew Fagan, a Caney Creek High School student, attended the South Texas Buckskin Brigade this summer and was voted top cadet for his outstanding performance and positive influence throughout the camp. His tuition was sponsored by the Montgomery County Soil and Water Conservation District No. 452.

Before creating Bluebonnet News in 2018, Vanesa Brashier was a community editor for the Houston Chronicle/Houston Community Newspapers.
