Johnie Olen McMullen Jr.

Johnie Olen McMullen Jr., of Cleveland, Texas, joined the Lord Our Savior on Aug. 6, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on Aug. 23, 1958, in Lufkin, Texas, Johnie lived a life rooted in dedication to his family, and his passions.

Johnie spent the majority of his professional life as a plant operator at Air Products in La Porte, Texas. His career there reflected his commitment to providing for those he cared about.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Barbara Spears-McMullen; his mother, Nelda McMullen; his brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Beth McMullen; his children and their spouses: Sam and Kristen Williams, Marilyn and Matthew Blanton, Haley and Jason Watson; his step-son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Annie Nation; his step-son, Jeff Nation; nine cherished granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Johnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnie McMullen Sr. in 1999, and his wife of 34 years Glynda Lynn McMullen in 2011.

Outside of work and family life, Johnie found joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed taxidermy. His love for motorcycles added another layer to a life filled with adventure and hands-on pursuits.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
