Rufus Gerald Lum

Rufus Gerald Lum was born in Macedonia, Texas on July 5, 1945, to parents, William Erastus Lum and Myrtle Corrine Cole Lum. Gerald passed away Aug. 18, 2025, at his residence at the age of 80 years. He worked as a tool grinder for many years and loved his family dearly. 

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, William Erastus and Myrtle Corrine Lum; wife, Dianne Lum; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Candice Stubblefield and husband Lorre, and Tracey Bowman and husband Joe; brother, Bruce Lum and wife Gail; grandchildren, Chris Cooksey, Casey Cooksey, Kelton Stubblefield, Lakin Cameron, and Aniston Stubblefield; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, from 2-3 p.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Matthews officiating.

Burial will follow at the Lum’s Garden of Memories in Macedonia, Texas. Pallbearers for the service will be, Kelton Stubblefield, Chris Cooksey, Charles Lum, Kyle Cameron, Bobby Lum, Anthony Rizzotto, Ray Baxley, and Tyler Papp. Honorary Pallbearers will be Neil Lum and Joey Roberts.
