Sonja Denise West Ziriax, 57, of Hardin, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025, in Houston.
Sonja was born May 3, 1968, in Channelview, to parents; Charles Anthony West, Sr. and Carolyn Diane Williams West, a former resident of Highlands, and has resided in Hardin for the past 25 years.
She attended Hardin High School and Lee College, was a member of Crosby Church, and was a CASA Advocate in Liberty and Chambers counties. Sonja also enjoyed dancing, fishing, her dogs, and especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Mrs. Ziriax was preceded in death by her parents, great-nephew: Kipton Sparks, sister-in-law: Dianna West, and brother-in-law: Rusty McCreight. She is survived by her husband and companion of 40 years: Tony Ziriax, sons: Marcus Ziriax and wife Kelsie and Tyson West and wife Amanda, brothers: Lewis West and wife Karen, Gene West and wife Bobbi, and Charles “Tony” A. West, sister: Dana McCreight, grandchildren: Chyler, Kynnedy, Madison, and Myles, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at Crosby Church in Crosby.
Family and friends are encouraged to wear Pink, in memory of Sonja during services.
