Louise Carolyn Psencik Lyrock

Louise Carolyn Psencik Lyrock, age 85, of Dayton, Texas, passed away peacefully on Aug. 18, 2025.

Born on Sept. 12, 1939, at her family’s home in Dayton, Louise was the daughter of Miloslav Psencik and Martha Lesikar. Remarkably, she spent her entire life on the very same property where she was born—deeply rooted in the community she cherished.

Louise graduated from Dayton High School and continued her education at Blinn College. She went on to build a dedicated 28-year career at Crosby State Bank in Crosby, where she was known for her dependability and warm spirit.

She was married to the love of her life, Henry Lyrock, for 30 years until his passing. Louise loved Henry fiercely, finding joy in caring for him and preparing meals from the heart. Their bond was a cornerstone of her life.

Louise was a longtime member of Crosby Brethren Church and found comfort and strength in her faith. She had a special love for dogs—her own pups brought her tremendous joy—and she was always eager for a new cruise adventure, relishing the opportunity to explore and relax.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Miloslav and Martha Psencik; her beloved husband, Henry Lyrock; her sister, Martha Jones, and sister-in-law, Eva Mae Psencik.

Louise is survived by her brothers, Edwin Psencik and Walter Psencik; brother-in-law, Lawrence Jones, Sr.; nieces Sherry Stephenson and husband Rusty, Judy Jones, Susan Jones, Nancy Meyer and husband Brandon, Amanda Price and husband Bo Henry; nephews Lawrence Jones Jr., Robert Jones and wife Connie, Travis Psencik and wife Jessie, James Psencik and wife Dinah, and Glenn Psencik. She also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her warmth, strength, and generosity.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Graveside services will take place on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton, officiated by Pastor Larry Koslovsky.

Pallbearers will be Robert Jones, Travis Psencik, Colton Psencik, Kyle Psencik, Glenn Psencik, James Psencik, and Rusty Stephenson.

Louise’s legacy of love, faith, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
