Lucrecia Pearl “Chris” Williams Brown

Lucrecia Pearl “Chris” Williams Brown, 86, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in Liberty, Texas.

Chris was born on November 16, 1938, in Highlands, Texas, to the late Hezekiah and Claudia Pearl White Williams. She was a proud member of the Robert E. Lee High School Class of 1957 in Baytown, Texas. A lifelong resident of Dayton, Chris built a full and meaningful life rooted in family, faith, and community.

In April of 1958, Chris married the love of her life, Billy Bob Brown, in Bryan, Texas. Together, they built a family filled with love and cherished memories.

For more than 25 years, she owned and operated her own cleaning service and also worked on the janitorial crew at Kenefick Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member and faithful churchgoer.

Chris found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing bingo, Yahtzee, and Bunco, and spent many evenings listening to her favorite country music legends—Hank Williams Sr., George Jones, and Merle Haggard—while dancing along. She also enjoyed watching old 1970s game shows on the Buzzer channel and working through her word searches.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Billy Bob Brown; and her siblings, Earl Williams and wife Bertie, Edna Willis and husband Lafayette, Ray Williams, Billy Williams, and Layton Wyman Jr. and wife Sue.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa (Terri) Beene and husband Wesley, and Ernest Brown and wife Betty; her sister, Shirley Adams and husband Tom; her grandchildren, Bradley Beene, Brian Beene and wife Marianne, Andy Beene and wife Amy, Donnie Brown, and Ernest Brown, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Breanne Steere, Crawford Beene, and Bonnie Brown; along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Friday, September 12, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Allison Funeral Service, 1101 N. Travis St., Liberty, Texas. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m., with Bro. Jeff Day officiating.

Chris will be remembered for her warm spirit, love of family, and devotion to her community.
