Splendora ISD sent a message this week to parents and staff regarding a very serious situation involving an employee at Peach Creek Elementary School.

According to Superintendent Dr. Dustin Bromley, the district became aware on Sept. 3 of an allegation that allegedly dates back to last spring. That allegation claims that an employee engaged in inappropriate conduct with a minor. The employee was immediately placed on administrative leave, and the case was turned over to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sept. 11, according to information from the district, it was reported that the employee was formally charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Parents of the students who were in the employee’s classroom were personally contacted, and all Peach Creek Elementary families were also notified.

According to Dr. Bromley, Splendora ISD is working fully with law enforcement and remains committed to protecting students.

“The well-being of every child in our care is our highest priority, and we will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment,” Bromley wrote in his message.

The superintendent also thanked families for their trust, support, and partnership as the district continues to care for students, staff, and the entire community.
