Peggy Carolyn Ericson

Peggy Carolyn Ericson, beloved mother, grandmother, and a cherished member of the Liberty, Texas community, passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on November 25, 1952, in Liberty, Texas, Peggy lived a life enriched by her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her career, and her passions.

Retiring after a commendable career as an administrator at Sam’s Distribution Center, Peggy was known for her commitment to her roles at both Walmart and Sam’s. Her work ethic and devotion were exemplary, reflecting her character and the standards she set for herself. Beyond her professional life, Peggy’s vibrant personality shone through in her relationships with her family and friends. She took immense joy in her role as a mother to her son, Steven, and shared a deep bond with her grandchildren, Morgan, and Steven Ericson III. Additionally, Peggy was proud to be a great-grandmother to Cinch, Dally, and Dutton, cherishing each moment spent with them.

An avid scrapbooker, Peggy found delight in preserving her cherished memories and documenting her family’s journey. After her retirement, she dedicated much of her time to her yard, lovingly nurturing it while also making space for visits with her grandchildren. Her interest in online ancestry reflected her desire to connect with her roots and share family stories, further emphasizing her commitment to family and heritage.

Peggy is survived by her son Steven Ericson and his wife Kenya, her sister Dorothy Davidson, her grandchildren Morgan Greak and husband Michael, Steven Ericson III and wife Beverly, and great-grandchildren, Cinch Vest, Dally Tousha, and, Dutton Greak, who will carry forward her legacy of love and dedication. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Earnest Cherry, and Dorothy Mae Story, as well as her sister Laverne Brown.

The memory of Peggy Carolyn Ericson will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her, a testament to the profound impact she made on their lives and her enduring spirit. Her love for her family, devotion to her work, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all.

Cremation services are under the care of Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. There will be a private family service at a later date.
