Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center opens new specialty clinic

Rhonda Campbell, CEO of Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center, cuts the ribbon at the celebration of a new specialty clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 22.

Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center, in collaboration with the Trinity Valley Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the grand opening of its new specialty clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 22, expanding access to specialized healthcare services for area residents.

The new clinic, located at 1202 N. Travis in Liberty, sits directly across the street from the hospital’s regular family medical clinic at 1201 N. Travis. It complements the existing clinic by offering services in women’s health and cardiology, as well as care provided by a nurse practitioner.

Among the specialists now serving patients at the clinic is Dr. Nitin Mahajan, a cardiologist providing advanced heart care and diagnostic services. Syrila Bossert, WHNP (women’s health nurse practitioner), also will see patients at the new location.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center CEO Rhonda Campbell thanked community members and local leaders for their support.

“Thank you so much to the chamber and the community for coming and supporting us,” Campbell said. “We’ve waited quite a while to be able to open this specialty clinic, and we’re super excited about it. We are going to be staffing it with two specialty providers—our cardiologist, Dr. Nitin Mahajan, and our women’s health nurse practitioner, Syrila Bossert. We’re excited to be part of the community and to expand our service line so patients can get their healthcare close to home instead of having to travel out of town. We’re so happy to be able to provide that for our community with the help and support of everyone here, including our board members.”

The opening of the specialty clinic marks another step in Liberty-Dayton Regional Medical Center’s ongoing efforts to strengthen access to quality healthcare for families in the Liberty-Dayton area.
