John Wayne Pippin, 88, of Shepherd, Texas, died on Sunday afternoon at 5:45 p.m., in his home surrounded by his family. Visitation to celebrate John’s life will be held Thursday Nov. 6, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the Pace Stancil Funeral Home and Chapel located at 303 E. Crockett St., Cleveland Texas, 77327, with Bro. Darrel Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas.
His family includes; sons, Randy and wife Becky Pippin, Roy and wife Bonnie Pippin; Brother In-Law Ed and Wife Jackie Bradshaw; Grandchildren, Latricia Mabry, Troy Pippin, Roy Pippin Jr. (Roy J) and wife Ginger Pippin, Christopher Pippin; Great Grandchildren; Angelina Mabry, Serena Mabry, Clint Batey, Caleigh Batey, and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his wife Glenda Pippin, his parents Johnny Wilbur and Inez Lee Pippin, brothers Charles, Jerry, and David Pippin.
John lived a life of love. A few months after Glenda graduated high school on June 3, 1956, John and Glenda were married and started the adventure of life as husband and wife that lasted an amazing 68 years. John was a man with many talents, a few of his favorites was woodworking, mechanic work, and fishing. Not a day will go by that he won’t be missed.
