Rachel La Cour helps Mississippi State win two national titles

Rachel La Cour

Rachel La Cour, a Liberty native who made history last year as the first NCA All-America selection in Lubbock Christian University’s competitive cheer program, continues to excel in collegiate cheerleading. She has since transferred to Mississippi State University, where she is studying civil engineering and cheering for the Bulldogs, who won two national titles at the 2025 NCA competition in Daytona Beach, Florida.

La Cour first gained national attention at the NCA SMU Collegiate Cheer Camp in Dallas, where she earned her All-American title after performing advanced tumbling and stunting skills.

A lifelong athlete, La Cour began dance at age 3, tumbling and gymnastics at 7, and competitive cheer at 8. She was a varsity cheerleader for Liberty High School and, despite breaking her hand less than six months before the 2024 NCA Collegiate Nationals, still competed with her team. Now representing Mississippi State in the SEC, she continues to demonstrate the same drive, leadership, and excellence that first earned her All-America honors.
