A Cleveland ISD school bus driver has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault of a child, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 10000 block of Royal Duaine Drive in Conroe following a report of a sexual assault of a child.
Detectives with the MCSO Special Victims Unit responded to the scene and began an investigation. As a result, investigators identified and arrested 38-year-old Jonathan Cranfill, who is charged with sexual assault of a child.
During their investigation, detectives confirmed that Cranfill is currently employed as a school bus driver for Cleveland ISD and is a former bus driver for Conroe ISD. Preliminary findings indicate the sexual assault was not connected to Cranfill’s current or former role as a bus driver.
Cranfill is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
Because the investigation is ongoing, no further details are being released at this time.

Drag him behind a truck by his neck for 200 miles.
That is the only way to guarantee he doesn’t do it again….
