Naomi Neyland Powers, age 83, entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Nov. 29, 2025. She was born on Feb. 26, 1942, to Lawrence Dee Neyland and Olline Light Neyland, and her life was marked by a deep love for God, a wholehearted love for her family, and a joyful spirit that loved to laugh.
Naomi is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Cecil “Bob” Powers, Jr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. She was the cherished mother of Donna Lowery (Eddie) and Cindy Miller (Stan), whose lives were shaped by her wisdom, encouragement, and unending support.
She was immensely proud of her grandchildren: Chris Lowery (Keeley), April Crosland (Alton), Jonathan Miller (Francy), Erin Lowery, Nathan Miller (Gina), and Cade Lowery (Megan). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Gabriel Crosland, Zach Lowery (Kira), Alandra Crosland, Abbey Lowery, Alysa Crosland, Morgan Brom, Mya Renae, Alivia Crosland, Gigi Crosland, Emery Miller, Carson Lowery, Makayla Miller, Madelyn Miller, and Harrison Lowery, and her great-great-grandson, Colton Lowery. Naomi loved each of them deeply and treasured every moment spent together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Nelson Neyland; and her beloved granddaughter, Diana Lowery Brom, with whom she is now joyfully reunited.
Naomi will be remembered for her kind spirit, her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and the joyful laughter that brightened every room she entered. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched with compassion, generosity, and prayer.
Her family and friends rejoice in the knowledge that she is now home, whole and at peace, and they will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, from 1-2 p.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Howard and Pastor Wayne Neyland officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Cade Lowery, Nathan Miller, Jason Neyland, Danny Lamb, Gavin Neyland, and Tiger Neyland.
