The foyer of the Liberty Municipal Library is once again dressed in winter beauty for the second annual Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. Voting opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025.
This year’s display features about 20 trees—several more than last year—and the library staff says they are grateful for everyone who took part.
Visitors can vote in person during regular business hours from Dec. 3–16. Special after-hours voting will be held Dec. 2 from 5–8 p.m. and Dec. 16 from 5–7:30 p.m. Online voting will also be available on the library’s Facebook page beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 2 and continuing through Dec. 16.

A great deal of work has gone into creating these unique and festive trees, and the library encourages the community to stop by and enjoy the display.
The fun doesn’t end there. The Liberty Municipal Library will host “Santa at the Library” on Dec. 16, with children’s crafts in the foyer from 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Outside on the back lawn, the city will present “Let It Snow” from 5:30–7:30 p.m., featuring artificial snow, along with appearances by the Liberty Police and Fire departments. Lighted wagon tours will depart from the front of the library, offering a ride through Liberty’s historic streets.
The Liberty Municipal Library is located inside the Geraldine D. Humphreys Cultural Center at 1710 Sam Houston in Liberty, across from Immaculate Conception Church. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Friday, 1–5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. For more information, call 936-336-8901.
