Carroll Eugene McGuire

Carroll Eugene McGuire was born in Houston, Texas, on March 4, 1940 to parents, James and Lillian Smith McGuire. He entered Heavens Gates on Dec. 4, 2025, at the age of 85.

Carroll was the son of a preacher and growing up he sang with his father and sister in several Houston area churches and local radio. Carroll proudly served our country in the US Army from Dec. 27, 1961, to December 21, 1964. After his military service, he worked for several Houston engineering companies as a Piping Designer for almost 50 years.

He enjoyed woodworking and was inducted into the Senior All Star Bowling Hall of Fame.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian McGuire; beloved wife, Shirley Joyce McGuire in 2021; sister, Kathryn Rutherford.

He is survived by his beloved daughters, Karen Faye McGuire, Kimberly Morales and husband Christopher, Ronald McGuire and wife Janet; grandchildren, Ryan McGuire and Madeline Morales. Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, at 10 a.m., in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be: Ryan McGuire, D.W. Rutherford, Ray Rutherford, Dustin Rutherford, Joe Bailey, and Danny Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Roy Jernigen and James McShan.
