Anthony Willard Semien, Jr.

Anthony Willard Semien, Jr., 49, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, in Marble Falls, Texas. Anthony was born on Oct. 27, 1976, in Liberty, Texas, to the late Anthony Willard Semien, Sr., and Beatrice Bellard Semien.

Anthony was a member of the Liberty High School graduating class of 1995. From the time he was a young boy, he was known as everyone’s cowboy. Anthony enjoyed working cattle, attending Our Mother of Mercy’s Easter Rodeo, and riding horses, especially his beloved Satellite. He also loved barbecuing, training dogs—particularly Black Mouth Curs for hog hunting—and spending time outdoors as an avid outdoorsman, while he embraced the cowboy way of life wholeheartedly. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. Even when the Cowboys had a losing season, he would say, “We’re going to the “bowl”! Above all, he was the proudest father, and his daughter, Alliece, was the greatest joy of his life. He lit up whenever he spoke about her.

Anthony will be remembered for his giving spirit, generous heart, and laid-back nature. He was a tough guy, but he would give anyone in need the shirt off his back without hesitation. He loved cooking for others, helping people, and showing concern wherever he went.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Andrew Semien; and his brother, Andy Semien.

He is survived by his daughter, Alliece (Jackie) Semien; his siblings, Lori (Walden) David, Lisa (Todd) Orebo, Spencer Semien, Rowena (Patrick) Tart, Rhonda Semien, Reneé (Jerrial) Semien, and Jordan Semien; his beloved nieces and nephew, Maghen, Kacie, Lauren, Addie, Kennedi, and Jaxon; his aunts and uncle, Audrey Antoine, Rita Bellard, Bertha Braxton, Billie Carter and Aubrey Semien, Sr.; his nephew with whom he shared a special bond and treated like a “little brother”, Chase Roth; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Anthony will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Ames, Texas, with Rev. Donald Eruaga officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Following the Mass, Anthony will be laid to rest at Ames Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Chase Roth, Jaxon Tart, Kevin Mosely, GG Randolph, John Randolph, Joseph Semien, Kenneth Winters, and Lonnie Redmon. Honorary pallbearers are Spencer Semien, Patrick Tart, Jerrial Wafer, Walden David, Todd Sharp, and Aubrey Semien, Sr.
