Bluebonnet News is hosting a political forum on Tuesday, Feb. 3, ahead of the March 3 primary election, giving voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking public office.
The forum will be held at the Cleveland Civic Center, located at 210 Peach Ave. in Cleveland. The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be available.
Candidates running for U.S. Congressional District 9, Texas Senate District 3, the 75th State District Court, the 253rd State District Court, Pct. 2 and Pct. 4 county commissioner, Pct. 2 and Pct. 5 justice of the peace, and county treasurer are invited to participate.
The forum will begin at 6 p.m. Candidates are encouraged to arrive early and visit with residents from 5 p.m. until the start of the forum. During the event, each candidate will be given a brief opportunity to introduce themselves, followed by questions covering qualifications, experience, and priorities if elected.
Candidates are welcome to bring pushcards and signs to distribute to supporters during the forum.
For those unable to attend in person, the forum will be livestreamed on the Bluebonnet News Facebook page.
The forum is intended to help voters make informed decisions by learning more about the candidates and the offices they are seeking ahead of the March 3 primary election.
