Alton Lee Silcox

Alton Lee Silcox was born in Houston, Texas, on Feb. 12, 1947, to parents, Arnold Silcox and Pearlie Crumpton Silcox. He passed away Dec. 27, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 78. Alton Lee served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked in the air conditioning and heating industry and was known by all as “Coach.” In his early years he loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In his later years he loved building model cars, boats, and tanks.

Coach will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Pearlie Silcox; brothers, Myron Silcox and Joe Silcox; sister, Brenda Creamer.

Coach is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Doris Silcox; son, James Silcox and wife Maria Silcox; daughter, Kimberly Silcox Stanley and husband Johnny Stanley; grandchildren, Christian Stanley, Constantine Stanley, Caleb Stanley, Deakin Silcox, William Silcox, Jace Silcox, Daizy Banday; great-grandchildren, Saphria Banday and Carmen Banday.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas at 11 a.m. with Pastor Frank Minter officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Christian Stanley, Constantine Stanley, Caleb Stanley, Deakin Silcox, William Silcox, Joseph Minter, and Jesse Minter.
