Cleveland ISD employee charged following allegation involving student

Cleveland ISD officials have confirmed that a district employee at Cleveland High School has been formally charged following an allegation of inappropriate conduct involving a student.

According to information provided by the district, Cleveland ISD was recently made aware of an allegation involving inappropriate conduct between a district employee and a student at Cleveland High School. District officials stated that they acted immediately upon receiving the information and referred the matter to law enforcement agencies in accordance with district policy and state law.

The district has since been notified that the employee has been formally charged by law enforcement. Cleveland ISD has not released the employee’s name or specific details of the allegation, citing student privacy laws and the ongoing legal process.

In communications to parents, the district emphasized that student safety remains its highest priority. Officials stated that the employee is no longer on campus and is not in contact with students. Cleveland ISD reported that it continues to work closely with law enforcement and follows established safety protocols to maintain a secure learning environment.

District officials said they are limited in the information they can share publicly due to federal and state student privacy laws, as well as the ongoing investigation. According to the district, these safeguards are intended to protect students and preserve the integrity of the legal process.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to have open, age-appropriate conversations with their children and to report any concerns to campus administration. Families with additional concerns or information are advised to contact the Cleveland High School administration or the Cleveland ISD district office.
