George Albert Green

George Albert Green, 85, of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 30, 2025. He was born on Jan. 12, 1940, in Bearden, Arkansas, to Blont Jackson Green and Annie Mae Hutchens Green.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen Lebouff Green; his sisters, Wanda Janice Green Poole and Willie Jean Harris; and his brother, Robert Nelson Green.

He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Green Ainsworth and husband Rusty, his son, George R. “Randy” Green, and his sister, Sue Green Smart. He also leaves behind cherished nieces Elizabeth Harris and Annise Smart McCray; nephews Chuck Harris and Keith Smart; three grandchildren, Ashley Green Cassidy and husband Chris, Cheyenne Green, and Ember Ainsworth Barton and husband Kade; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher and Mason Cassidy and Kali Barton.

George retired from H-E-B after a long and dedicated career as a butcher. He was known for his hard work, kindness, and devotion to his family.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice Care for their compassionate support, and to Kira McIntosh, Bonnie Golbert, and Barbara Blakley for their care and assistance during this time.
