Samantha Yvonne Bryant

Samantha Yvonne Bryant (née Vestal), a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away at the age of 60. Born on Jan. 2, 1966, in Baytown, Texas. She had just celebrated her birthday, which was a miracle after her years long battle with cancer. She resided in New Caney, Texas, Samantha built a life filled with creativity, connection, and love.

Samantha was preceded in death by her father, Sammy Vestal. She is survived by her mother, Gwendolyn Bailey; her brothers, Scott Vestal and Steven Vestal; and her sister, Sherry Lacy. She is also survived by her cherished children, Kelly Bryant and Justin Bryant, who were the center of her world; her granddaughter, Lily whom she loved dearly; and many other nieces & nephews who brought her joy.

Samantha had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of passion. She loved art in all its forms—especially painting and crafting—and found joy in music and dancing. Animated, quirky, and full of personality, & spunk she had a way of bringing energy and laughter wherever she went. Above all, Samantha loved her friends and family fiercely, and that love was returned many times over. She loved her beloved dog, Roscoe P Coltrane.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 9, 2025, at 2 p.m., in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Coldspring, Texas, with Pastor Moss officiating.
