Fredrick McElwee II

Fredrick McElwee II was born in Houston, Texas, on June 22, 1958, to parents, Loren Nile McElwee Sr. and Norma Beatrice Richards McElwee. He passed away in Huntsville, Texas, on Jan. 7, 2026, at the age of 67.

Fredrick worked as a carpenter before his tragic accident which left him paralyzed. He was greatly loved by his brother and sisters and will greatly missed by them and his nieces and nephews.

Fredrick was preceded in death by his parents, Loren Nile and Norma McElwee; brother, Nile McElwee Jr; nephews, Keith Allen Nelson, Kurtis Alan Glover, and Kason Nelson; great niece, Roselyn Edwards.

He is survived by his beloved sisters, Judy Hoke and husband Robert, Delores Johnson and husband Roland, Ludie Fogle and husband Paul, and Brenda Clark; nephews, Joshua McElwee, Bobby Joe McElwee, and Dennis Ray Tanton Jr; nieces, Bonnie Lynn Fogle, Terra Blackburn, Judith Lynn Tanton, Heather Fletcher, Rachel Glover, Kimberly Hill, and Julie Perez; numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, from 2-5 p.m.
