Two arrested after armed robberies in Montgomery and Liberty counties

On Jan. 10, 2025, at 11:17 a.m., deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at a convenience store in the 26600 block of FM 1485 in New Caney. While units were en route, Montgomery County dispatchers advised deputies of another robbery that had occurred in Liberty County on FM 1010 near Colony Ridge.

Deputies were provided a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle. An MCSO deputy located a vehicle matching that description and attempted a traffic stop. The suspects failed to stop, and a brief pursuit followed. The vehicle crashed on Manion Drive, and the suspects fled on foot into a wooded area.

Liberty County deputies, who were familiar with the suspects and had been investigating several vehicles connected to previous robberies, later spotted a vehicle associated with those incidents near the area.

Liberty County units stopped the vehicle in Cleveland and located two males whose clothing matched the description of the suspects involved in the FM 1485 robbery. Evidence collected at the scene and witness statements subsequently linked both suspects to the robbery.

Octavio Avalo Flores, 20, and Osmar Tenorio Flores, 23, were taken into custody on charges of aggravated robbery and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The Montgomery County Jail website is undergoing maintenance at this time, so mugshots are not readily available.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene and continue the investigation. Both suspects’ citizenship status is under investigation, and if they are found to be in the country illegally, an ICE hold will accompany their charges.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office expressed appreciation to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office for its cooperation during the investigation, noting that the collaboration and professionalism displayed by both agencies were instrumental in the swift apprehension of the suspects.

  1. More wetback crime from Colony Ridge… it’s become clear over the years that this shithole is riddled with illegals, crime, child abuse, and presents a huge safety risk to the surrounding communities- no one can deny that.

My question is- has Liberty County officials contacted homeland security with an outline of proof that this area is a sanctuary dense with illegals and requested a large-scale ICE operation?

County officials have to know that this development is full of wetbacks- so why haven’t you done anything about it? Or do you not know? Either way- you are failing your constituents.
