Together they had two children, Katy Jane and Cody Wayne, followed by three amazing grandchildren, Kylee Jane, Braylen Wayne, Kase Liam, and fur pups Flossie and Knoxli. She traversed a diverse path throughout her life, beginning her journey at the esteemed Rainbow Cafe as a waitress. This was merely the first chapter of a varied career that spanned volunteering at Hardin Independent School District, and later, medical billing and coding—until she found her heart as a devoted stay-at-home grandma and wife.

She embodied the simple pleasures of life, relishing in hobbies such as fishing, gardening, spending time at her favorite place, the beach, searching for beach glass, and her culinary passion, with crawfish etouffee being a celebrated highlight among family favorites. The Thanksgiving tradition she initiated, cooking duck for her beloved family, will forever remain etched in their hearts.
