Barbara Ann Randall Mitchell

Barbara Ann Randall Mitchell, 88, of Saratoga Texas, died on Jan. 11, 2026, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. Barbara was born on Jan. 17, 1937, to Mamie and Everett Randall in Beaumont, Texas.

Barbara was a resident of Saratoga for the last 57 years. She was a longtime member of West End Baptist Church and retired from West Hardin CCISD after 28 years, where she touched the lives of many students. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and “Mamaw” to many. She is the last of her generation.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ralph Mitchell, her son Lonnie Mitchell, her parents, her brother E.M. Randall, her sister Edwena Florey, her grandson Cody Ferguson and her sons in law Clyde Ferguson and Larry LaRue.

She is survived by her daughters, Arlette Hoffer and her husband Bruce of Kountze, Patricia Ferguson of Saratoga and Nancy LaRue of Groves, her son Ralph Mitchell and his wife Ernestine of Chandler, Texas, grandchildren, Jason Collins and his wife Tracee, Jeff Collins and his wife Shelby, Brandon Thompson and his wife Judy, Ralph Mitchell III (Trae) and his wife Alivia, Ernest Mitchell and his wife Jennifer, Ashley Huff and her husband Josh, Randall LaRue and Lonnie LaRue and his wife Remy and 20 great grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Faith and Family Funeral Services. Funeral Services will follow at 12 p.m. with Edwin Findley officiating, Interment will be at the Oilfield Cemetery in Saratoga.
