Dayton Rotary Club plans annual gumbo luncheon

The Dayton Rotary Club is gearing up for its annual all-you-can-eat gumbo luncheon, set for Friday, Feb. 20, at the Methodist Fellowship Hall, with proceeds benefiting senior scholarships and local community projects.

The club will serve gumbo from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or until it runs out. Tickets may be purchased through any Dayton Rotary Club member, via QR code below or at the door on the day of the event.

During the luncheon, the club will announce the winning name for its 4-wheeler raffle during a Facebook Live broadcast. A limited number of raffle tickets remain available, with only 250 tickets being sold to provide better odds for participants.

Dayton Rotary Club President Dr. Luke Chachere said the organization has a busy spring ahead.

“We have many exciting events and projects lined up this spring. Our two fundraisers will continue to enable our club to serve and give back to the community. Additionally, we are preparing for our 100th Year Anniversary Celebration in April. We encourage everyone to join us for a day of fellowship and enjoy some delicious gumbo.”
