Madie Rodgers Jones

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Madie Frances Rodgers Jones born March 14, 1928, in Magnolia Springs, Texas. She passed peacefully from this world on Jan. 21, 2026.

Though words can hardly capture the depth of our sorrow, we gather here to honor and remember a life filled with kindness, laughter, and love.

Madie Jones touched the lives of all who knew her through her dedication to family, commitment to friends and her community. She left an indelible mark on the world. Madie was known for her generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering support for others. Throughout her life she was a member of many organizations and volunteered in countless others:

Madie Jones is survived by her nephew, Scott Hughes and wife, Cathy of Montgomery, TX, nieces, Teresa Noland of The Woodlands,TX, Debra Ipson and husband Don of Baton Rouge, LA, Penny Strobel and husband Rich of Cedarburg, WI, and Judy Hughes of Conroe, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jimmie Jones, Jr., her parents F.A.(Frank) Rodgers and Ella Horn Rodgers, her sister, Mabel Rodgers Hughes, her brother, Jimmie L. Rodgers, and nephews Ben F. Hughes Jr., and Jimmie W. Hughes.

Service and Remembrance

A service to celebrate Madie Jones’s life will be held on Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. with viewing preceding at 9:30 a.m., at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas. A graveside service at Magnolia Springs Cemetery in Magnolia Springs, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share memories.
