Funeral services for Betty Sue Day, of Cleveland, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
Betty was born on Nov. 24, 1948, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to John & Louise Gill Williams, Jr. and passed from this life on January 24, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 77.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donnie Day; siblings, Connie, Belinda and Peggy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Deidre Dewitt & husband John, Jason Day & wife Mendy, and Chris Day &wife Darlene; her brother, John Williams, Sr. & wife Lynette; she is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Sorry for your loss. Does anyone know Faye Day? Related to Johnnie Maurice Walker? I’m seeking any information on some of my relatives. Mr. Walker is deceased, I’m his daughter, we didn’t meet until I was in my late 50’s. His mother was Edith Lucille Walker, her sister is Faye Day.
