
Sharyn Kay Bosserman Ortiz, 60, of Dayton, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas.
Sharyn was born on Nov. 30, 1965, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late Larry J. Bosserman and Judith Ann Foos. From an early age, she displayed a creative spirit and sharp wit that would become hallmarks of her life.
Sharyn was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed crafting, baking, and playing the piano, and she was especially skilled in carpentry. Her creativity and attention to detail were well known through her work with Frontier Furnishings, where her craftsmanship left a lasting impression. Thoughtful, inventive, and quick-witted, Sharyn had a way of making people feel both challenged and cared for, often with a perfectly timed remark or clever insight.
She graduated from a Christian academy for girls in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1982. As a child, she attended Peoples Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, where her faith and values were nurtured. Sharyn later attended San Jacinto College, pursuing studies in nursing, driven by her desire to care for others.
Sharyn was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Melanie Oliver.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Lazrine; her beloved children, Brandon Ortiz, Lauren Ortiz and husband Travis Moorman, Ryan Ortiz, Megan Hruda and husband Chris, Nathan Ortiz, and Savannah Lazrine; the father of her children and lifelong best friend, Raymond Ortiz; her cherished grandchildren, Emily Beacham, Alex Thrash, Judith Ortiz, Hayleigh Brown, Ian Ortiz, Damian Hruda, Everlynn Hruda, Jasper Hruda, Zaidyn Ortiz, Zaraya Ortiz, Allison Young, Addison Young, and Baby Lazrine-Jones; her sister, Mary Coulombe; her brother, Michael Bosserman; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
