The first public stakeholder meeting for the Tarkington and Luce Bayous Watershed will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Cleveland Civic Center.
The meeting, hosted through the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), will focus on the Tarkington and Luce Bayous Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) process and ongoing water quality conditions within the watershed.
According to organizers, the meeting will include discussions on current water quality concerns, identified impairments and potential opportunities for improvement throughout the watershed. Community input will play a role in shaping future strategies aimed at protecting and improving local waterways.
Residents, landowners, businesses and other interested parties who live, work or recreate within the watershed are encouraged to attend. The watershed spans portions of Harris, Liberty and San Jacinto counties.
The meeting will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the City of Cleveland Civic Center, located at 210 Peach St. in Cleveland. Light refreshments will be provided.
Organizers also encourage attendees to share information about the meeting with others who have an interest in the health of Tarkington and Luce bayous.

If Harris County wants our water, why aren’t they paying for our drainage issues.
He’ll, why pay when they can just take it!
