Troy Gibson, 55, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026. He was born Oct. 4, 1970, at LBJ Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Troy was a loving person who loved his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Ewing; his father, Johnny Gibson; his brother, Shawn Gibson; his nephew, Tristan Rodriguez; his grandparents, James and Ruby Jones and Jesse and Rita Gibson; his uncles, Danny and Marshall Jones and James Gibson; his aunt, Jessie Schultz; and the mother of his children, Anne Barnhill.
He is survived by his sons, Troy Gibson and Avery Gibson (Kaitlyn); his sisters, Michelle Taylor and Melanie Burgess; his brothers, Johnny Gibson and Michael Gibson; his granddaughters, Kyra, Kyrah and Clara Gibson; his grandson, Kian Gibson; his aunt, Verda Beasley; his special aunt, Vonna Aviles; his nephews, Joey and Sammy Montoya; his niece, Resi Montoya; and numerous other special family members.
Troy will be remembered for his love of fishing and road running. He will be missed by all who loved him.
