Woman dies after single-vehicle crash on U.S. 59 in Cleveland

Cleveland Police are investigating a fatal one-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 59/I-69.

At 1:25 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2026, Cleveland Police Department dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a crash in the 1002 block of U.S. 59/I-69.

According to officers who responded, a blue 2008 Honda Civic was traveling southbound when it suddenly veered into the center concrete divider. After striking the divider, the vehicle re-entered the main lanes of traffic, appeared to go out of control and began rolling over. The car flipped several times before coming to rest on its roof.

Officers removed the female driver from the vehicle after noticing she was having difficulty breathing. She appeared to have suffered a severe head injury. Officers performed CPR until Allegiance EMS arrived. Paramedics continued treatment at the scene before transporting her to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood, where she later died from her injuries.

Southbound traffic on U.S. 59 was diverted onto the southbound feeder road at the Texas 105 West/Conroe exit for several hours.

The crash is under investigation by Cleveland Police officers T. Brown, W. Bullard and Sgt. Edwards.

While officers were working the scene, a second crash occurred. A female driver in a 2022 Chevrolet Blazer struck a parked Cleveland Fire Department truck that was assisting with traffic control. Two firefighters were inside the truck at the time, but no one was injured.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the second crash.

Anyone who witnessed either crash is asked to contact the Cleveland Police Department at 281-592-2622.
