Willie “Billy” J. Vrana

Willie “Billy” J. Vrana, 71, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at his residence.

Billy was born on Oct. 21, 1954, in Houston, to parents; Willie John and Virginia Viola Armstrong Vrana, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 21 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator by trade. Billy also enjoyed small engine repair and fishing.

Mr. Vrana was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Shirley Allen Vrana, daughter: Sharry Mullinex and wife Lisa, son: John Vrana and wife Rebecca, son: Billy Ray Vrana, daughter: Yvonne Walters and husband Danny, son: Terry Dean and wife Robin, brothers: Richard and Kenny Vrana, sister: Linda Hawthoen, grandchildren: Junior, Thomas, Karley, Kolby, Jaxon, Neveah, Joseph, Kindley, Justin, Alie, Moses, Junior, Brody, Michael, and Gavin, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.
