Born on March 18, 1954, in Tulare, California, Louie’s early years were spent in the vibrant states of Oklahoma and Texas, where he grew up alongside his eight brothers and two sisters.

A man of many journeys, Louie lived a colorful life during his late teens to early twenties, embracing the spirit of adventure as he traveled across the country, embodying the free-spirited essence of the hippie lifestyle. It was in his early thirties that he met Tena, with whom he started a family that would become the centerpiece of his life.

Louie devoted himself to his work as the owner and operator of Louie’s Transmission Repair in Point Blank, Texas, where he established himself as a highly skilled transmission specialist. His expertise and passion for mechanics were evident in every project he undertook, earning him the respect and appreciation of clients and colleagues alike.

Outside of work, Louie had a deep passion for martial arts, achieving the rank of a 2nd degree black belt in karate and enjoyed watching UFC fights. Fishing and boating were among his favorite pastimes, allowing him to connect with nature and unwind. Additionally, Louie had a special affinity for fixing vehicles, particularly Corvettes, which served not only as a hobby but as a reflection of his zest for life.

Louie is survived by his daughters, Nicole Miller, Carol Miller, and Kelley Miller, who fondly remember their father’s guidance and love. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Arron Gresham, Preston Gresham, Izzy Edmundson, and Liam Edmundson, who will cherish the memories of their time spent with him. Louie’s legacy continues through them, as well as through many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of treasured friends who were touched by his warmth and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill Miller and Birdie Mae Upton; his brothers, Ernest Miller, Leroy Miller, Bobby Miller, Johnnie Miller, Kenneth Miller, Billy Miller, and Larry Miller, and as well as his sisters, Carol Veron and Barbara Wechel.
