Landscaping is underway at the newly constructed Community Building in Daisetta, and final interior details are being completed as the facility nears completion.

The building is on schedule to be ready for the Hull-Daisetta Golden Oldies gathering on Sept. 4, 2026, which will be held during Homecoming Friday festivities.

The new community building represents a more than $3.2 million investment in the future of Hull, Daisetta and Raywood. Designed to host community events and provide services, the facility is expected to serve as a gathering place for generations to come.

The event will also coincide with the 100th anniversary of Hull-Daisetta ISD. Organizers say the milestone will celebrate the district’s history, friendships and longstanding Bobcat pride.

The planning committee is continuing to develop activities for the centennial celebration, with additional details expected to be announced at a later date.

Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars for Sept. 4, 2026, and plan to attend the historic event.
