Rest Now, Dear One. The road was long and steep, you know,
With shadows where you had to go.
You stumbled often, fell to pain,
Through heavy mist and driving rain.

No one knew the weight you bore,
The silent, unseen, inner war.
But look now—the storm has ceased,
The weary heart is finally released.

Forget the battles, the fear, the doubt,
The broken places, inside and out.
Remember only the moments of light,
Your gentle spirit, taking flight.

Sleep now, in quiet peace at last,
Your struggles now are in the past.
You fought so hard, you did your best,
And earned this calm, eternal rest.
