Three Liberty County youth compete at State Elks Hoop Shoot

Cammie Connelly placed fifth at the State Hoop Shoot competition in her final year competing in the 12–13 division.

Three local students represented their community at the State Hoop Shoot competition hosted by the Liberty Elks Lodge, finishing among the top free-throw shooters in Texas.

Kase Taylor earned third place in the state competition. Cammie Connelly finished fifth, and Corbyn Hudson placed eighth.

To reach the state level, each competitor advanced through local and district rounds, earning championship titles along the way. In total, the three shooters outperformed approximately 10,000 students from across Texas to compete at the state meet.

Corbyn competed in the 10–11 age division. Kase and Cammie both participated in the 12–13 division and were competing in their final year of eligibility in that age group.

Their strong performances at state mark the culmination of months of practice and multiple rounds of competition, placing them among the top youth free-throw shooters in Texas.
