
Ella Jean Gobert Plummer, 83, of Houston, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Houston.
Ella was born Jan. 9, 1943, in Raywood, Texas, to parents; Folone, Jr. and Mae Fontenot Gobert, and has resided in Houston for over 60 years. Ella was a doting wife, loving mother, neighbor and friend to many. She was a faithful member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church for 50 years. Ella was an amazing cook, a gift she inherited from her mother. She was also a talented seamstress…once sewing her daughter’s formal choir dress…while also holding her one year old son Thomas in her lap… in one day. Ella also loved gardening and planting all kinds of beautiful flowers in her yard.
Mrs. Plummer was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Earl Joseph Plummer, Sr., and brothers: John Gobert and Murry Gobert, Sr.
She is survived by her children: Earl Plummer, Jr., Kenneth Plummer, Steven Plummer, Sr. and wife Nikki, Charlotte Plummer, and Thomas Plummer and wife Heather. Grandchildren: Anna Marie, Steven, Jr., Elijah, Amaris, Stevie and wife Kayla, great-granddaughter: Gabriella, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 8:30-8:45 a.m. for viewing, and Eulogy from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at Allison’s Funeral Service Chapel. Rosary, Mass, Interment, and Repass services will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Cemetery in Raywood, Texas, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
