Ronny Gerald Clemons

Ronny Gerald Clemons, 68, of Crosby, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and deep love for his family and friends. Ronny was born on Nov. 14, 1957, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Harold Edward Clemons and Velma Faye Birmingham.

Known to many as “Cowboy” or “Uncle Boo,” Ronny was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and sharing them with others. He loved fishing and was especially proud of the pond on his property, which he often said was the best place around to catch a fish. Ronny was always happy to take friends and family fishing in his pond.

Ronny dedicated many years of his career to Exxon, where he worked faithfully until his retirement. Never one to stay idle, he also operated an air conditioning business out of his large shop, where he spent countless hours working on projects and helping others.

A true outdoorsman, Ronny loved his farm where he raised cattle and kept horses. He enjoyed barbecuing, hosting family and friends, and was widely known for cooking the best fried turkey around. Music and laughter were often close by—he loved to dance and play pool whenever he had the chance. Ronny had a love for the outdoors that began in his childhood, when he spent his time camping, fishing, boating, and riding dirt bikes.

Above all, Ronny cherished his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he loved teaching them new things and spending time with them whenever he could. He also dearly loved his dog, “Deisel”, and his cat, Sol, who were his favorite companions.

Ronny was a resident of Crosby for over 30 years and built a life filled with meaningful friendships and strong community ties. His best friends and neighbors, John and Frances Martin, shared many memories and good times with him over the years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Edward Clemons and Velma Faye Birmingham; his grandchild, Kaci Dee’Ann Sthram; and his niece, Angela Renee Speegle.

He is survived by his children, Jason Clemons and wife Audrey; Nicki Sthram and husband Keith; Carly Clemons and Jostein; his brother, Carl Deason; sisters, Rita Hankey and husband David, Sherry Cron, and Lisa Naska and husband Bennie. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Kaicen, Kyndra, Zachary, Jesse, Mason, and Jameson, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A visitation will be held on March 21, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.

Ronny will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, love for the outdoors, and the many good times shared with family and friends. His memory will live on in the stories, lessons, and laughter he leaves behind.
