Leroy DeJohn Jr., age 50, passed away on March 21, 2026. He was born on Oct. 29, 1975, in Dayton, Texas, to Leroy DeJohn Sr. and Cynthia Ann Schou Broek.
Leroy was a simple man who found joy in life’s everyday moments. He especially loved riding in the truck to go get chicken, listening to music, and enjoying his favorite foods—Cheetos, chicken, and Coca-Cola. These small pleasures brought him great happiness and were a reflection of his warm and easygoing spirit.
He was a proud graduate of Liberty ISD and was deeply cared for throughout his life by his devoted legal guardians, Brenda Mangum, Jane Diehl, and Rita Tyler, whose compassion and support meant so much to him.
Leroy will be remembered for the joy he found in the little things and the love shared by those who surrounded him. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Norris Cemetery, with Dallas Mangum officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Moorman, John Ryder Moorman, Luke Mangum, Phillip George, Matthew Mangum, and Darrell Diehl. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
