Billy Anderson Carter was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Hamburg, Ark., to parents, Wyatt Taylor Carter and Zelma Wallace Taylor. He passed away in Houston, Texas, on March 30, 2026, at the age of 82.
Billy was from a large family, being one of 13 children. He was a carpenter most of his life and he built many beautiful projects. Billy was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great great-grandfather that will be missed by his entire family and everyone that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wyatt and Zelma Carter and 9 siblings. Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Lois Carter; beloved children, Oliver Wyatt Carter, Billy Anderson Carter II and wife Tami, Robert Benjamin Carter and wife Jacquelynn, and Tina Louise Krumnow and husband Brian; brother, Robert Carter; sisters, Janette Collins and Elizabeth Tillerson; grandchildren, April, Olivia, Oliver “Bubba”, Jonathon, Tiffany, Christina, Billy III, Ray, Ethan, Alex, Mia, Rachel, Reanna, Regan, David, Chance, Carter, Zachary, and Daniel; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 2-3 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 3pm with Brian Krumnow officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery.
