Nelson Lee Radford, affectionately known as “Big Nutt, Peanut, Uncle Nutt,” was born in Liberty, Texas, on Sept. 12, 1970, to Charlene Radford and Freddie Perry Sr.
He passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at the age of 55. A lifelong resident of Liberty County, Peanut was a devoted brother, uncle, and friend, whose smile, dance moves, and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Nelson graduated from Liberty High School in 1989. He worked at JSW Steel for 16 years. Outside of his profession, Peanut enjoyed dancing and spending time with his family. He was most at peace spending time with his twin Peewee, playing dominoes, and hunting with friends.
Nelson is survived by his brothers, Harrison Radford (Barbara), Manual Redmon, Dexter Redmon, Freddie Perry (Laticha), Jimmy Perry (Betty), his sisters Barbara Hill, Marena Terrell, Carolyn Perry and many neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlene Radford and Freddie Perry Sr.
Nelson Radford will be remembered for his strength, his generous heart, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.
