Edrese Joanne Hufford

Edrese Joanne Hufford, 80, of Hardin, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, on February 12, 1944, to the late Edward Franklin Hughes and Charlene Elizabeth Smith.

Edrese Joanne Hufford was a beloved mother, daughter, friend, and Mawmaw. She loved birdwatching, riding horses, dancing, and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She has been like a second mother to many of her daughter’s friends over the years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by parents; son, Tedo Wilson; and sister, Bobbye Hughes.

She is survived by her daughters, Edrese Renee Riddick and husband Donald, Tammye Scroggins and husband Randy, Darlene Wheeler and husband Mack Jones, and Cindy Hufford; brother, Eddie Hughes; sisters, Linda Ellis and Kathye Taylor; grandchildren, Jason Chehresa, Kayvon Chehresa, James Riddick, Christopher Riddick, David Riddick, Mark Wilson, Trey Wilson, Tina Scroggins, Vanessa Strawn, and Aubree Dale Hufford; great-grandchildren, Layla, Liana, Easton, Lilly, Braxton, Luke, William, Bruce, Liberty, Makenna, Ray Lynn, Kaitlyn, Sage, Jordyn, Tripp, Ryker, and Brantly; and numerous other family and friends.

Serving the family as pallbearers are Mark Wilson, Trey Wilson, Kayvon Chehresa, Mack Jones, Randy Scroggins, and James Riddick. Honorary pallbearer is Donald Riddick and Aubree Dale Hufford.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Faith and Family Funeral Services, Batson, Texas. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Chris Contreras. Interment to follow at Moss Hill Cemetery, Moss Hill, Texas. The family would like to invite everyone to New Work Family Worship Center, 2512 Grand Ave, Liberty, Texas, afterwards for fellowship and Remembrance of Edrese.
